  COMPUTER BASICS

A computer is an electronic device that accepts data, processes it, and produces information.

The main parts of a computer are:

  1. CPU (Central Processing Unit) – The "brain" of the computer that processes instructions and performs calculations.
  2. Memory (RAM) – Stores data and programs temporarily while the computer is running.
  3. Storage Device – Keeps data permanently, such as a hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state drive (SSD).
  4. Input Devices – Used to enter data into the computer, such as a keyboard and mouse.
  5. Output Devices – Display or present information, such as a monitor and printer.
  6. Motherboard – The main circuit board that connects all computer components together.
  7. Power Supply Unit (PSU) – Provides electrical power to the computer.

In simple terms: A computer mainly consists of Input Unit, CPU, Memory/Storage, and Output Unit.
