TYPES OF COMPUTER 

Supercomputer – The fastest and most powerful computer, used for scientific research, weather forecasting, and simulations.

Mainframe Computer – A large computer used by banks, airlines, and government organizations to process huge amounts of data.

Minicomputer – A medium-sized computer used by small and medium-sized businesses (less common today).

Microcomputer (Personal Computer) – A computer designed for one user. Examples include:

  • Desktop Computer
  • Laptop Computer
  • Tablet Computer
  • Smartphone

Another common classification is by purpose:

Analog Computer – Processes continuous data.

Digital Computer – Processes digital (binary) data; the most common type today.

Hybrid Computer – Combines features of both analog and digital computers.
